Materials
Our products are made from a composite material consisting of a water-based acrylic resin and a mineral base, sometimes referred to as eco-resin. No solvents are used in the production of our products.
Variations and Imperfections
There may be small imperfections, bubbles, variations in colour and design in our products.Each item is poured, sanded and sealed by hand, individually or in small batches. Our products are not mass produced.
Our colours can vary between batches, as can terrazzo chip sizes and amounts.
Product Care and usage
Ark&Whale Trinket Trays, bowls and other homeware must are not suitable for use with food. The purpose of our products is for storage and display of trinkets, jewellery, hair accessories, sunglasses, perfumes, candles, stationary, and other accessories or decorative elements.
The material from which our products are made is porous, therefore prone to staining. While our products are sealed with an acrylic sealer as well as a wax-based sealer and are splash-proof, spills should be dried as soon as possible.
Ark&Whale products should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water (dry thoroughly should this occur), and do not wash in the dishwasher.
